TOOTHPASTE PRODUCTION

SKID SYSTEM

The proposed system is designed to deliver a consolidated and efficient solution for process operations. By integrating key components within a compact and modular framework, the design ensures simplified installation, reduced on-site intervention, and improved reliability. The inclusion of the Utility Bank, aligned with the proven configuration to the end user, underlines our commitment to standardized, field-tested engineering practices.

We prefer a skid-mounted unit with the Utility Bank, complete with panel and cabling. This configuration enables faster site handover and improves operational efficiency, as the system will be pre-tested and dispatched in ready condition

GEL KETTLE

 In pharmaceutical and cosmetic contexts, a gel kettle generally refers to a jacketed mixing and heating vessel used to prepare pastes, gels, syrups, binders or semi-solid materials by uniform heating and agitation. These are often called paste kettles, jacketed kettles, binder kettles or steam jacketed kettles:

Typical Function

✔ Uniform heating & mixing of ingredients using steam, electrical or thermal oil jacket.
✔ Preparation of gel, paste, binder solutions, syrups, ointments, etc. without lumps or burnt spots.
✔ Many models have tilting discharge or agitators/stirrers for smooth processing. Type : Jacketed and Insulated (Rockwool) Vessel

CONTRA MIXER

 A Contra Mixer (also called Contra Rotary Mixer) is a high-efficiency mixer for viscous materials that uses contra-rotating agitators/blades — meaning two mixing elements rotate in opposite directions. This creates simultaneous beating, scraping, folding and dispersing to make very uniform, lump-free paste, cream or gel products. 

How it works:

  • One agitator (anchor) moves slowly, scraping the vessel walls.
     
  • The second blade rotates opposite and faster, dispersing particles and blending thoroughly.
    This motion ensures homogeneous mixing of thick pastes and emulsions.
     

Typical industries where Contra Mixers are used:
✔ Pharmaceuticals — creams, ointments, gels.
✔ Toothpaste manufacturing.
✔ Cosmetics & personal care — lotions, shampoos, conditioners.
✔ Food industry — sauces, pastes, dressings.
✔ Chemicals, adhesives and viscous materials.

 Works on the principle of Contra rotation of Blades for simultaneous beating and scraping operation. This Mixer is mostly used in Toothpaste Manufacturing Plants, Creams, Viscous products, and Cosmetics.
It consists of a paddle-type agitator and anchor agitator with a scrapper. Paddle type agitator is provided on the central shaft and rotates in a clockwise and anticlockwise direction. Contra Rotary Mixer is provided with a Jacket arrangement for cooling as well as the heating purpose and also provided with a conical cover to avoid dusting and spillage. It is also provided with the hydraulic lifting and lowering arrangement if required. The operations that are carried out in CRM are as follows mixing, emulsifying creams, Ointments, paste, Powders, wet mass, kneading, etc. 

WASH IN PLACE SYSTEM

Tank 1 (Jacketed & Insulated): Used for hot water or detergent preparation, maintaining set temperature through jacket heating and insulation.

 Tank 2 (Plain): Serves as rinse/holding tank for recovery water.

 Multistage Pump: Provides high-pressure recirculation and line cleaning.

 Process Piping & Actuated Valves: Enables automated flow switching between wash, rinse, and drain circuits, ensuring controlled CIP cycles
